The Work of High/Scope U.K
High/Scope UK was established in 1990. Since then the use of the High/Scope Approach in Britain has increased dramatically. Over a hundred professionals are Endorsed High/Scope Trainers supporting the early years workforce in the U.K. and 3,000 practitioners have completed the High/Scope Implementation Course, in addition it is estimated that 17,000 practitioners are using High/Scope and 250,000 children have experience of the Approach each year.
Since the establishment of the Institute, High/Scope UK has sought to deliver its mission statement in the following ways through:-
- Informing key organisations and Government
- Training.
- Quality control in training and practice.
- Development of courses
- Dissemination of the Approach through publications, awareness sessions and conferences.
- Supporting the countrywide network of High/Scope Endorsed Trainers. In doing so High/Scope has achieved a very high profile in the sphere of early years education.
